About Me

I provide you with a warm and non-judgmental space,
make you feel truly seen, heard and understood.

Hello! I am Rozan, an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, mindfulness meditation and IPHM certified sound healer. I have received professional psychotherapy training in Hong Kong and overseas, including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, expressive art therapy, and international career development facilitation. I am also a multi-instrumental sound therapist. I hope to help everyone in need gain emotional health and real happiness in their physical, mental and spiritual growth.

As a therapist, the most important thing for me is for you to understand:You deserve to be loved and accepted unconditionally. There are times in our lives when things feel too overwhelming for us to resolve our personal emotional and relationship distress. Counselling can provide support, clarity, and direction when you are facing challenges, and give you the strength to navigate profound life changes.

You may feel pain and sadness at the beginning of the healing process because you are bravely opening vulnerable wounds and slowly healing the wounds within with patience and love. However, counseling can give you a place where you feel safe, supported, and encouraged. Pain is like a by-product of the transformation process. Once transformed, we will become stronger and stronger like a new life.

My Background

I grew up in an Asian society that traditionally has low emotional expression. My upbringing environment has inter-cross of both Eastern and Western philosophy. I have been exposed to Eastern Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism since I was a child. In tertiary education, I was led by Western thinking mindset, more focus on rational and science-base. This strengthened my understanding of the integration of Eastern and Western thoughts, and allowed me to master the uniqueness of Eastern culture, the Buddhist meditation, and the Confucian cosmology of "the unity of man and nature." I also learned Western rational logic, scientific foundations, practical skills, and psychology applications. This unique growing environment made my psychotherapy and sound therapy processes even more different.

Before becoming a psychotherapist, I had eight years of experience in project management in the business sector. Before I switched from the business sector to a new career path in psychotherapy, I had provided many counseling and support services in Hong Kong, including mothers of ethnic minorities, drug addicts, adults with social phobia, anxiety, low self-esteem, and emotional management difficulties.

I have faced several major life changes. They are not only related to changing a new career, new life role, and new living environment, but also involve a new self-identity, which has brought me a new attitude towards life and experience. All of my psychotherapy knowledge and skills resonate with my personal life experiences. Each challenge has been an insightful journey that has allowed me to see problems and conflicts from all perspectives, allowing me to continue to grow.

My own experiences have made me a therapist who values multiculturalism, openness to who I am, and empathy. Living and traveling extensively in both Western and Eastern cultures further enriched my perspective and developed my insights into cross-cultural relationships, immigrant adaptation, and interpersonal relationships.

My Beliefs

I believe that each person is the expert on their own life.

My focus will be to encourage and empower you to break free from the shackles of self-doubt,expectations and limiting beliefs and accept the things we can’t control.I’ll help you to discover new potentials and create the capacity for coping better in the future to live a more hopeful and authentic life.I use holistic approaches to fit different needs of clients..
